  1. After starting up Passkey, it just disappears, why?

    DVDFab Passkey will show up for about 14 seconds after startup, then it will automatically minimize and down to the task bar. You may find it at your System Notification Area ( aka System tray).

  2. Can I make an encrypted DVD copy with DVDFab Passkey?

    The current DVDFab Passkey only allow you to make an encrypted image for DVD/Blu-ray.

    Please go to "Rip to Image" window, tick the "keep Protection" box before you start the ripping process.

  3. Can I use DVDFab Passkey to rip DVDs/Blu-rays?

    Using DVDFab Passkey, you can:

    1) rip DVDs or Blu-rays to computer HDD as standard DVD or Blu-ray movie folder and,

    2) rip DVDs or Blu-rays to computer HDD as DVD or Blu-ray image file.

  4. Does DVDFab Passkey work with 1Click DVD Copy?

    Yes, they can work togther. Please note you need to enable "Advanced" in Settings  -> General -> I/O Mode in DVDFab Passkey, since sometimes software's such as 1Click DVD Copy, Intervideo DVD Copy, Pinnacle InstantCopy, Roxio Creator 2010 Pro require "Advanced I/O Mode".

  5. Does DVDFab Passkey support to decrypt HD DVDs?

    Yes, DVDFab Passkey supports to remove encryptions (AACS) from HD DVDs, currently you need to use Passkey Lite (a free tool) to decrypt HD DVDs.

  6. What exactly does Passkey for DVD do?

    Passkey for dvd is a Windows-based driver that works on-the-fly to unprotect encrypted DVD discs. It removes all known DVD protections; It rips DVD movies to computer HDD as DVD movie folder or ISO image file; It will keep up to date to deal with the new protections.

    You need 3rd-party tools like PowerDVD, Media Player Classic - Home Cinema, etc, to play the decrypted DVD disc in DVD drive.

    You need 3rd-party burning tools like Imgburn to burn the ripped DVD folder or ISO to a blank disk.
