Convert Blu-ray to AVI
AVI is a popular video format that supported by most portable media player devices such as iPod, iPhone, iPad, Xbox, Zune, PSP, smart phones and so on. If you have these kinds of devices, you may need to convert your video into AVI. Here we mainly talk about how to convert Blu-ray to AVI.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to convert Blu-ray to AVI with DVDFab Blu-ray Ripper.
Step 1) Start up DVDFab －Go to Blu-ray Ripper －AVI
Step 2) Load Blu-ray disc
Before we start to convert Blu-ray to AVI, we need to insert Blu-ray disc to BD drive (if you’ve already saved the Blu-ray files on your hard drive, just click on the folder icon to load the root folder of this movie) for your ripping process.(You may also import ISO files stored on your PC by clicking the ISO icon button.)
Next, choose the movie titles you want to rip (you can preview the highlighted title before ripping in the lower left corner), check the audio/subpicture stream you prefer. In this example, we are ripping Title 31. (See the illustration below)
Step 3) Set advanced settings for Blu-ray to AVI Conversion
Step 3.1 Title Start/End settings
You may select chapters on this setting panel and define the chapter range for ripping. Please set the beginning and end chapters for the Blu-ray to AVI conversion process.
Step 3.2 Open Queue
This function makes it easier to rip a large batch of files using different output formats and parameters, which will definitely save you a lot of time.
Copy: Create a new task for the same title yet output another format to rip which can be selected with the drop down profile selector.
Remove: Remove the ripping task you selected. If a title is removed from the task queue, it will be deleted from the Title List (in the main window) as well.
Step 3.3 Conversion Settings makes your Blu-ray to AVI Conversion more accurate
DVDFab Blu-ray Ripper provides specific conversion settings, you can define your Blu-ray to AVI conversion in detail. Click on “Edit” button, open “Conversion Settings” window. You can adjust the output parameters of the ripped video like output type, audio/video format, frame resolution/aspect ratio, and rename the output file, etc. For detailed explanation about this window, please check Conversion Settings.
Step 3.4 Video Effect Settings
DVDFab Blu-ray Ripper allows you to adjust and change the output video effects for Blu-ray to AVI conversion. You are allowed to do the following things.
>Resize the frame resolution for the output video
Here you can select the suitable aspect ratio, frame resolution and visually check the different scene's output effect of the ripped video by draging the slide bar in the lower right area, and the detailed parameters of source/output file in the left bottom corner.
Note: If you don't want your ripped video to be stretched and made taller, please don't change the Source Aspect Ratio before ripping.
Here you can cut off the black edges and unwanted area of the video being ripped by easily draging the frame-mark on the video screen of the source file, you also can type the number in the Top/Left/Right/Bottom box to crop accurately.
Note:If you want to keep the aspect ratio of source screen, you need to check this option before cropping. The belowslide bar allows you to resize output from letterbox to pan&scan.
Step 4) Start to rip Blu-ray to AVI
After finishing all the settings, click Start. The conversion will do it work. You can track the ripping process from the progress bar at the bottom of the interface.
If you have checked the option “Automatically shut down the pc when done”, the computer would automatically shut down after the ripping process being finished.
After some time (some minutes or hours later (depending on your PC's speed and the length of movie)) you will get a message that the ripping process has completed successfully, then press the Finish button.
Is it easy? Just several mouse clicks, you have finished Blu-ray to AVI conversion and obtained the wanted AVI files.
